		First, I'd like to congratulate Coach Mason, his coaching staff, & players on winning the 2010 NC Babe Ruth Championship tonight. Justin Safford & Chad Sinko held the US Army to only two hits; so it was tough to score with that type of pitching. Adam Rogers had a double and Teddy Potenza ripped a single. Despite being on the losing end tonight, we are very proud of our US Army men who started the season a bit sluggish, & then ripped off 6 wins in a row to enter the title game tonight. Finishing 2nd among the 9 Babe Ruth teams is quite an accomplishment. Kevin Long & Joe Saulsberry capped off their Babe Ruth careers tonight for the US Army squad. Nice job fella's, & I'm sure you'll have alot of good memories to carry with you. Kevin Long pitched 1 2/3 innings tonight while Jake Messina pitched 5 1/3, with only 57 pitches. Dean Maloney caught 6 innings behind the plate, while Tyler Becker caught the 7th. All in all, it was a great Babe Ruth season. Would like to thank Babe Ruth President, Jim Becker, & VP Chip Dott for all they do for the program. They, along with Commissioner Bob Burke have worked together, & as a result, the Babe Ruth program has shown tremendous growth over the past 4 years. Great job to our top two finishers tonight!!!
