The Builders had a magnificent performance today but came up a little short. For the first time in TVLL history in the interemediate league, consecutive double plays were executed. The first occurred when Jack "The Cat" Empie nested the can of corn in deep center, relayed to Patrick "Catch me if you Can" Engelbride who rifled a bullet to Riley "Highway Star" Corbit who nailed the runner trying to score from third (to end the inning). Immediately thereafter in the next inning Joe "The Vaccuum" Beletti-Naccarato reached out and caught a soldiy hit line drive and astutely threw to first to double up the runner. Brendan "Rocket Man" Navarro launched another ball into infinity and beyond and pitched wonderfully holding the other team to one earned run in four innings. Derek and the Dominoes Baranski line a sharp hit to right field and Owen "Big O" McClain got on base to start our sixth inning rally. Giovanni Rosetti got on base for the 7th consecutive time over the past two games.
