This was a real pitcher's duel for most of the game. Dermot McDonough pitched very strong for Segel, Goldman, Mazotta and Siegel, PC. Jeff Hammond pitched a masterful game coming one strike short of a complete game. Nice job by both teams for a great game!		It was a very close and tight game with only one run scored for the first five innings of play, but SGMS came up short against a talented and well coached Swifty’s Team and their pitching ace, Jeff Hammond, who pitched an outstanding and nearly complete game. Dermot McDonough was outstanding on the mound for SGMS allowing only one run over five innings with Kyle Lewis and Colin Roche providing some relief in the 6th inning. The SGMS bats showed some life as well with Kyle Lewis contributing two singles and a run scored, Luke Andres a single, Dermot McDonough a big single, Will Gross a single and Will Vagianelis a big double in the first inning and a big single and RBI to extend a late rally in the 6th inning. Special thanks to Aaron Mizener from the Farm Division who played an outstanding and busy right field today for a short-staffed SGMS.
