Terrific contest to start off a beautiful Saturday of Baseball at Magee Park. Connor Momrow took the mound for the first time this season, and pitched well for three innings, turning the ball over to birthday boy Micheal Ortale, who contributed another solid three innings of pitching against a tough Bellizzis team. The Post 1040 bats awoke in the 5th and 6th, with key hits from Sam Scott and Brendan Egan. Play of the day in the field goes to Jason Piccolino who stepped in at Shortstop, and made an incredible catch on a hardline drive of the bat of T. Sgroi.		Another close game against a strong Blanchard Post team. Bellizzis once again jumped out to an early lead with 2 runs in the first but came up against solid pitching performances by Momrow and Ortale. Our pitching aces Sgroi and Federman struck out 9 and kept us in the game all day. Offensively, the Bellizzi's boys were lead by: Tom Raleigh (double, 1 RBI, 2 runs scored), Tony Cheruvu (2 singles, 2 RBI's), Sean Desharnais (double, run scored), Dylan Conway (single), Caleb Federman (single, RBI), Jerry Jennings (single, 2 runs scored) and Trey Sgroi (single, RBI). Great game boys!
